Time Trial Sa Calobra
What is Kill the HIll?
A 10 KM, closed road, chip timed hill climb time trial on one of the most beautiful roads in the world… the legendary Sa Calobra
Why Sa Calobra?
Limestone cliff faces plunging into the sea, silky smooth tarmac and an incredible feat of engineering. Is there any more iconic Mallorca climb?
Start at the beautiful Port of Sa Calobra, twist and turn your way up 26 hairpins, pass beneath the famous 270 degree “knot,” then push your legs through the grueling last 800m to the finish line on top of Col de Reis. Be sure to keep your eyes and ears peeled as you climb for some unique local entertainment to keep you motivated.
Did we mention closed roads? That means no buses, lorries, cars or descending riders to keep you from setting a brand new PB!
Friday, November 5, 2021: Registration, number pick-up and rider briefing at Hotel Esplendido in Port Soller, Mallorc
Saturday, November 6, 2021: Race Day and Post Race Party!
How do I get to the Start Line?
By boat of course! Save your legs for the climb! On the morning of the event we will ferry you and your bike from Port Soller to the starting cabins in the Sa Calobra port. Don’t worry about sea legs after the short 50 minute journey – in the start area we’ll have Zycle trainers available for all competitors to warm up on, as well as a short road warm up route should you prefer that option.
What happens up top?
Enjoy food, entertainment and a sports massage in the recovery zone as you cheer on other competitors finishing after you. All riders can send a post-ride recovery bag ahead to have a change of clothes at the finish.
Will there be prizes?
Of course. Generous and equal prizes for top 3 riders in each classification, male and female as well as some bonus raffle prizes from our fabulous sponsors. Your race number will gain you access to all post-race events including the award ceremony and party Saturday evening at Hotel Esplendido in the Port de Soller.
I’ve just gone all out and left everything on the road. How do I get back to my hotel?
Shuttle buses will be waiting up top to bring you and your bike back to Port Soller. Of course, you can also choose to ride should you still have any legs left.
I can’t make it to Mallorca this November. Is it possible to compete virtually?
We understand. Riders can join us from around the world and compete simultaneously online in our Fulgaz event. Prizes will be awarded in all online categories as well.
